Kirsi is leaving Sydney tomorrow to go to work in a farm in the middle of nowhere. She is excited and sad at the same time. GOOD LUCK KIRSI! To celebrate, yesterday we ate kangaroo and crocodile pizzas!

Kirsi se marcha de Sydney mañana para ir a trabajar a una granja en mitad de la nada. Está emocionada y triste al mismo tiempo. ¡BUENA SUERTE KIRSI! Para celebrarlo, ¡ayer comimos pizzas de canguro y de cocodrilo!

NAIDOC celebration

A few weeks ago I was attending this celebration of NAIDOC Aboriginal party in Jannali, a neighborhood near ours. There, I did some research for college and met very interesting people. I made this video, I hope you like it. Please don't care quality because my equipment in Australia is not very good.

Hace unas semanas estuve en la celebración de la fiesta aborigen NAIDOC en Jannali, un barrio cercano al nuestro. Allí hice algunas investigaciones para la universidad y conocí gente muy interesante. Hice este vídeo, que espero que os guste. Por favor, obviad la calidad porque mi equipo en Australia no es muy bueno.

A few weeks ago I bought this marvel at the Rozelle market that I like so much. It cost me AU$10. My biggest disappointment was that when I got home the marvel didn't fit me (!). So I looked for a shop of 'Alterations', as they call them here to fix it (because I have no sewing machine and am not head of the needlework). The Chinese man who served me told me 'UFFFFFFFFFFFFFF impossible'. He said I should contact the tailor who had designed it and it probably would cost about AU$80 or AU$90. NO NO NO. I went home, wires removed from the sides,  I sewed some hem and this is the result for  AU$O.

Hace unas semanas me compré esta maravilla en el mercadillo de Rozelle que tanto me gusta. Me costó AU$10. Mi gran desilusión fue que al llegar a casa la maravilla no me valía (!). Así que busqué una tienda de 'Alterations' como llaman aquí para poder arreglarlo (puesto que yo no tengo máquina de coser y no soy ninguna jefa de la costura). El chino que me atendió me dijo que 'UFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, imposible'. Me dijo que tendría que ponerme en contacto con el sastre que lo había diseñado y que seguramente me costaría unos AU$80 O AU$90. NO NO NO. Me fui a casa, descosí algunos laterales, metí algún dobladillo y éste es el resultado por AU$O.

Yesterday we went to watch a very exciting game from the Dragons! They won and despite the cold all their supporters were there celebrating!

¡Ayer fuimos a ver un partido de los Dragons muy emocionante! ¡Ganaron y a pesar del frío todos sus seguidores estuvieron allí celebrándolo!

motor inn nights

As a true road movie, nights of this trip were spent in the typical roadside motel found throughout the state. They are called Motor Inn but it's more fun to call them 'Motorines'. :)

Como en una auténtica road movie, las noches de este viaje las pasamos en los típicos moteles de carretera que hay por todo el estado. Se llaman Motor Inn pero es más divertido llamarlos 'motorines'. :)
